PN 2232 Pharmacology II
This course provides the first portion of content covering the study of commonly prescribed drugs and the practical nurse’s responsibilities in administering medications, monitoring of the client, and evaluating the client’s response to medications. Pharmacology content includes: therapeutic classifications; generic and trade names; actions; uses; side effects; adverse reactions; safe dosages; drug interactions; routes of administration; contraindications; relevant nursing implications; and patient teaching. This course also teaches intravenous therapy that is within the practical nurses’ scope of practice.

Must be accepted in PN program.
