EE 2013 Industrial Electricity & Motor Controls

This course is designed to present the principles and applications of electrical motor and equipment control techniques used in industry. Ladder logic diagrams, contactors, motor starters and electronic controls and sensors are among the subjects to be studied. This course will also include studies of current, resistance and AC voltage up to 480 volts. Students will learn principles of single-phase motors and three phase motors and the different types used in industrial application. Lectures, demonstrations and laboratory experiments will be the methods used to present and enrich the material to be learned.
