Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.) Degree
The purpose of the Associate of Art in Teaching is to provide ease of transfer to Arkansas public universities and will articulate into baccalaureate degree. This degree is also offered as part of the Arkansas Teacher Residency Program to address the growing need for certified teachers in the State of Arkansas.
The courses that make up the Certificate of Proficiency (CP) in Teaching and the Technical Certificate (TC) in Teaching are included in this degree.
The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) contains information about the transferability of courses within Arkansas public colleges and universities. Students are guaranteed the transfer of applicable credits and the equitable treatment in the application of credits for the admissions and degree requirements. Course transferability is not guaranteed for courses listed in ACTS as “NO COMPARABLE COURSE.” See individual course descriptions in the catalog for applicable ACTS courses.
