Career Pathways Initiative
The Career Pathways Initiative serves as a new educational program designed specifically for low-income parents who have children under 21 living with them. Other requirements state that qualifiers must be a current or former TEA recipient or be receiving Food Stamps, Medicaid or AR Kids or have earnings that fall below the 250% federal poverty level guidelines. Benefits of the program may include Adult Education classes, employability skills classes, certifications, associate degrees, childcare assistance, transportation assistance, career counseling, tutoring services, tuition assistance, book loans, and career placement opportunities.
