Program Description
This certificate program is designed to provide individuals with entry-level competencies in programming and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in an industrial environment. Upon successful completion, graduates should be able to write, document, store, edit and debug ladder logic programs that are essential to the operation of factories, plants and other manufacturing facilities. Courses within the certificate may be applied toward the Engineering Technology (Automated & Robotic Engineering) Associate of Applied Science (A,A.S.) degree.
General Requirements
Residency Requirement
The student is required to complete a minimum of 15 semester hours in residence at SAU Tech for associate degrees and technical certificates and half of the credit hours required for certificates of proficiency as well as complete all other graduation requirements. Students who wish to pursue additional degrees must complete a minimum of 15 credit hours of difference between the degrees.
