Classroom Conduct
All students are expected to conduct themselves in a pleasant, civil, courteous, and sociable manner at all times in the classroom. Rudeness, bigotry, sarcasm, and obscene or abusive language will not be tolerated, and students displaying such behavior will be required to leave class. Any student dismissed from class for such behavior will meet with the Associate Vice Chancellor of Instruction, the Dean of Student Life and Housing, and/or the Vice Chancellor for Student Services before reenter the classroom. Repeated objectionable behavior or disruption of class will result in permanent dismissal from the class. Faculty members are expected to dismiss students from their classroom whose behavior is detrimental to good order and a positive learning environment.
Students in Internet classes will be held to the same standards as those in the classroom. Any student engaging in the aforementioned behavior will have his/her access to the class disabled until approval to continue is granted by the Associate Vice Chancellor of Instruction.
